I am a creative and innovative professional with 24 years of sports broadcast experience. My current role is Director of Seminole Productions at Florida State University. In this role I oversee school control room produced linear and digital broadcasts on the ACC Network in addition to sports venue entertainment productions across 5 venues. In addition, I am a professor for two television courses within the College of Communication. I have been in my role at Florida State University for 10 years. The ACC Network was launched on August 22, 2019. I served on the inaugural ACC Network Advisory Panel which consisted of 4 members who represented the 15 schools in the Atlantic Coast Conference. In preparation of the coming ACC Network I collaborated with integrators on the design and build out of 5 control rooms. Under my direction Seminole Productions led the other ACC schools in having produced 45 school control room linear broadcasts prior to the ACC Network launch. The first of those was the Jameis Winston Pro Day on ESPNU followed by the 2017 NCAA Softball Regionals. During productions I spend most of my time directing. Prior to returning to my alma mater at Florida State, I spent two years as Senior Director with Comcast SportsNet Houston. In this role I was a full-time studio director for live programming ranging from news and talk, to pre and post-game shows. In addition, I scheduled and managed the studio directors. My professional career began with the Houston Astros in 2001 where I would spend 12 years producing the Astros venue entertainment. A decade of this role was spent as department oversight. The time with the Astros was highlighted by hosting the 2004 All-Star Game and 2005 World Series. In addition, the game day presentation I was leading was responsible for winning a record 14 Golden Matrix Awards at the Information Entertainment Display Association annual conference. The GMA’s are recognized and respected as the most prestigious award in sports venue entertainment. In addition to working full-time with the Astros I was employed as a freelance director with the Houston Rockets for a decade. I also, did a considerable amount of directing and technical directing for the Houston Aeros, Houston Dynamo, Houston Comets, and Rice University. I am originally from Jupiter, Florida. I grew up playing all sports. I love the water and being outdoors. I am an avid surfer who has surfed in Florida, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Texas, California, and Indonesia.
